5/18/2012
Transport and logistics group AWT has announced a new programme of support for those employees who devote their free time to socially beneficial, unpaid activities. As much as CZK 200,000 will be distributed this year through the “AWT is Us!” initiative.
“We appreciate the efforts of our employees and we know very well that many of them use their free time to help the needy or improve their neighbourhoods. We have already provided similar support in previous years, for example to employees who organised children’s camps, contributed as voluntary firefighters, worked for nonprofit organisations or organised interesting cultural events. This year, we have decided to expand our support and place it under the umbrella of a specialised programme,” explained Petr Jonák, AWT Group’s Director for External Relations.
Simple applications from employees of all the Group’s companies (AWT a. s., AWT Čechofracht, AWT ROSCO and AWT Rekultivace) will be accepted until 15 June 2012. The total amount earmarked for the sponsoring programme is CZK 200,000, with each application eligible for up to CZK 20,000. Funds will be allocated by a committee comprised of management representatives. The “AWT is Us!” programme will be declared open once a year.
