The transport and logistics group AWT prepared the first whole-group Children’s Day for its employees’ children and did it even twice. On Saturday, September 10, almost 80 children came to Prague, and a week later on September 17, more than 200 children gathered in Ostrava on the premises of Landek Mining Museum. Attractive program full of contests and fun was prepared for everybody.
Animals welcomed the children in Prague. At the Penguin’s the boys and girls for example had to catch a fish, a Horse lent its horseshoes to be thrown at a target, children climbed a net with a Monkey. A zebra prepared a traffic route with traffic signs and traffic light and asked trick questions, for example where to call in case of traffic accident. Also the AWT quiz at both places was made in a spirit of traffic. Children learned what modes of transport the AWT Group, where their parents, grandparents or aunts and uncles work, uses, what recultivation is or what kinds of machines work at a terminal in Ostrava-Paskov.
During the Children’s Day in Ostrava little visitors played locomotive drivers when they drove through a marked track, they had to put together a broken locomotive or for example load cargo. The accompanying program with Ferda, mini disco dancing, puppet show or trained dog Art was also rich. In the stands of protected workshops those who were interested could make leather wristbands, paint textile animals or ceramic pieces as souvenirs. There was also face painting so the children turned for instance into tigers but also into Spidermen. Girls had their hair braided or color ribbons weaved in their hair.
Those who went through the contests successfully and answered the quiz correctly were included in a drawing for interesting prices. Nice gifts were prepared for everybody at the end - frisbee, coloring book, pexeso (matching cards), magnets and candy. All in the company color. Which one - it is apparent from the attached picture.
